BACHELOR’S DEGREE PROGRAM

Graduates of Christian Ministry degree program are prepared to serve – as leaders in local churches, mission agencies, and social service organizations throughout the U.S. and around the world.

The online Christian Ministry degree program begins with a strong core in biblical and theological studies.  Coursework includes practical skills in communications and the management and administration of faith-based organizations.  Leadership, evangelism, counseling and discipleship are also essential components of the online learning curriculum.

Four senior classes—Human Development and Discipleship, Ministry Management and Administration, Ministry Communications, and Life of the Ministry Leader—incorporate internship components. Students work with local mentors at a church or other faith-based organization to observe, engage in, and reflect on practical ministry experiences.

Students who wish to pursue an accelerated graduate degree program may elect to complete 50% of their graduate degree while earning their online Christian Ministry degree.   Accelerated graduate degree options include the M.A. in Christian Studies, M.A. in Ministry Leadership, or Master of Divinity.  For additional information, please click on the Accelerated Degree Options tab at the bottom of this page.

Students in the Christian Ministry online degree program automatically qualify to receive a Biblical Studies Minor. Those who wish to double major with a B.S. in Biblical Studies can add that second major by taking an additional four courses.  For additional information, please visit those program pages.

Crown’s partnership with organizations like Prepare/Enrich, a Christian relationship skill-building program, allow students to become certified in pre-marital and marital counseling while earning their online degree in Christian ministry.  The coursework also includes collaborative activities that mirror real-life situations. By constructing knowledge with peers within Crown’s digital environment, students acquire life skills in collaboration that are critical to professional success.
